Souper Social Tennis and Mini Quiz Evening –  24th March

Unfortunately, this event has had to be rescheduled again and is now taking place on Friday March 24th.

Join us for a great night of tennis followed by soup, with a mini quiz on sports and general knowledge to round off the evening.

Social tennis and soup will run from 6.30pm to 9pm, with the quiz from 9pm.

If you wish to attend the whole evening it will cost £5 per person (inc soup). If you want to come along and pit your wits only, the mini-quiz is £2 per person (nibbles provided).

Wimbledon Draw

The draw will be made at our Easter Monday American Tournament on 17th April. Don’t forget, you will have need to have paid your membership in order to be eligible!

Team Captains

As the winter season draws to a close, team captains are reminded that all match fees, including payment for floodlights, need to be handed in to Isabelle Ridgewell, our Treasurer, together with the summary fee sheet.

Coaching and tennis camps

Places are available in the junior Easter Holiday camps. There are opportunities to attend mornings, afternoons or all day. Please click on the link below for more details of this eggscellent offer!

Marathon effort

Luke Barker is taking part in the London Marathon 2017 to raise money for Guide Dogs. This has been a childhood dream of his ever since watching his Dad complete the London Marathon on two occasions.

Luke says “My Dad has always been my number one hero, and if I come anywhere close to the time in which he did it (3 hr 9 min), I will be very pleased! My Dad also ran the Marathon in aid of Guide Dogs, and I believe this is wonderful charity which does a magnificent job in providing blind people with the freedom to live their life's just like everybody else!”

If you would like to sponsor Luke to help him reach his target of £2,000, please follow the link below

Fifteen to One appearances

One of our former members Mark Hosier is appearing on the TV show “Fifteen to One” on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th March. For those that remember him, why not tune in to Channel 4 and see how he gets on!

Sad News

Our oldest playing member, Professor Allan Williams has sadly passed away. Allan joined our club in 1966 and, until recently, could still be seen playing in his regular Sunday morning game. Our condolences and thoughts go to his family and friends.
