Priority for Places
Places are allocated in the following order:
Barnet L.T.C. members
Returning players
Order of applications received
Priority applies only where bookings and payment are received at least 14 days before the course start date.
Collection of Children
For safety reasons, parents must collect children from the back of the courts — not from the car park or Gloucester Road.
Children of primary school age will remain with the coaches until collected.
If your child is permitted to leave unaccompanied, written consent must be provided.
What Should My Child Wear?
Please dress your child in comfortable sports clothing that they can move and run in easily, such as:
A T-shirt or sports top
Shorts, leggings or tracksuit bottoms
Trainers suitable for sport
Footwear must have flat, non-marking soles (no studs or hard soles).
If your child doesn’t own tennis clothing, that’s absolutely fine, normal PE kit is perfect.
We simply ask that children avoid jeans, football boots or everyday fashion trainers that may damage the courts.
Choosing the Right Group
Returning players should remain in their current group unless advised otherwise.
If you are unsure which group is most suitable, please contact a member of the coaching team and we will be happy to help.
☔ Weather & Cancellation Policy
Player Absence
We are unable to offer refunds, credits or make-up sessions for lessons missed due to holidays, illness, school trips or other personal commitments.
Weather Cancellations
If conditions are unsafe or unfit for play, a text message will be sent where possible 30–60 minutes before the session.
If a session runs for 20 minutes or more before being stopped due to weather, it will be considered delivered.
If a session is cancelled before it begins, we will aim to offer one replacement session (usually during half term or at another suitable time within the term).
If a player is unable to attend the replacement session offered, no alternative session, credit or refund will be provided.
Credits and refunds are not routinely issued and remain at the discretion of the Head Coach.
⚖️ Liability
Barnet Lawn Tennis Club and its coaching team accept no liability for injury sustained during participation, although every reasonable care will be taken to ensure a safe environment.
