Important Information
🚸 Collection & Safety Guidelines
For the safety of all players, please collect your child from the back of the courts — not from the car park or from Gloucester Road. Children of primary school age will be asked to stay with the coaches at court-side until a parent or guardian arrives to collect them. If your child is in this age group and is allowed to walk home alone, we require a written letter of permission from a parent or guardian.
👟 What to Wear & Bring
Please make sure your child wears comfortable sports-style clothing — like a t-shirt, shorts/sports skirts, leggings or tracksuit bottoms.
(No jeans or anything tight or restrictive, please.)Tennis shoes or trainers: No boots, sandals, or shoes with studs, please.
As the weather can change, it’s a good idea to bring a jumper and a waterproof jacket, just in case.
If your child has their own tennis racket, they should bring it with them. Don’t worry if not — we’re happy to lend an appropriately sized racket for the week.
🎒 Don’t forget:
A water bottle
We’ll provide all tennis equipment, but kids are welcome to bring their own racket if they prefer.
🌧️ Cancelled Lessons (Weather Policy)
If we decide that the weather or court conditions are not safe for play, we’ll send a text message to the mobile number provided on your booking form — usually 30 to 60 minutes before the lesson starts, where possible.
If you're ever unsure whether a session is going ahead, we recommend coming along to check — we’ll always do our best to run the session if it’s safe.
⚠️ Liability Notice
While Barnet Lawn Tennis Club and our coaches will always take every reasonable care to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, please note that we cannot accept responsibility for any injuries that may occur during the camp.
